Bieldside Cottage

A very comfortable and spotlessly clean cottage. Positive: Location was perfect for our touring around the various historic sites we wanted to see. Cottage very comfortable, but watch your head on low doorways. Staircase requires caution, particularly when exiting bedrooms. Spotlessly clean. Car parking right at the door. Secluded rear garden for morning coffee or evening drinks. A very good Italian restaurant/riverside pub 5 minutes' walk away.

Positive: Lovely cottage perfect location for us

Positive: Fully equipped cottage (washing machine, etc) with all necessities. It felt really cosy. Negative: Just a heads up (literally): the ceiling in the kitchen and the inner doors are low. My partner is 1.98 meter (6'5''), he had to mind his head.

Excellent little property for exploring the local area Positive: This little house is fabulous. There is everything that you need. All clean and comfortable. Stayed here as working locally but we also visited 3 national trusts and Sherwood Forest The Italian restaurant is great. Would 100% recommend. Negative: The only tiny issue we had was with the hive system which did override the thermostat and start heating up the house during the night. Manageable for 3 nights but we would have asked to get the programme switched off if staying longer. This definitely wouldn't put me off coming again.
